This image has been chosen so that it goes with the cell line to this image. The image is black and white so that she looks like a victim and so that she looks innocent again.
The image has been cropped so that only her facial feature a showing and it makes us focus on her eyes. By having the image like this it makes her look pure and natural.
The relationship that Britney wants with the audience in the magazine is sympathy as she is displaying a ruff patch in her life. By having a close up shot she could also be displaying that she wants a close relationship with the reader. I think by having this image she is appealing to the males who read this magazine, as her costume is revealing and very open. She is in a white shirt which could refer to the days of when she was back a school girl. The difference between now and then is that her shirt in school times was closed but now its open as if to say good girl gone bad.
The props that she is using is a telephone and a Teletubby, this image conveys that she is innocent , virgin – especially as she is wearing a white shirt, this could symbolise that she is a school girl, by having a teddy bear this also makes her look childlike.
